Born from hands-on experience in construction and guided by a contemporary vision of sustainable design, BIOÁ approaches architecture as a living dialogue between people and place. Every line drawn, every material chosen, and every opening to the landscape responds to a deeper intention: to enhance the way life unfolds within a space.
At BIOÁ, architecture is understood as a living system. Light moves through it. Air circulates and renews it. Materials age with dignity. Orientation shapes comfort. The surrounding landscape becomes part of the interior experience.
Sustainability is not applied — it emerges naturally when a space is designed with awareness, climate sensitivity, and respect for its environment.

The Vision Behind BIOÁ
BIOÁ is grounded in the vision of an urban architect with a Master’s degree in Sustainable Design and Bioclimatic Architecture, and over 18 years of professional experience across more than 200 developed projects. This trajectory — shaped through Marée and Constructora Arauz — has established a technical, efficient, and sustainability-driven approach to architecture.
Inspired by the words of Walter Gropius, founder of the Bauhaus — “A good architecture should be a projection of life itself, and this implies an understanding of biological, economic, technical, and artistic problems.” — BIOÁ embraces architecture as something that extends beyond aesthetics.
Under this philosophy, design must respond to climate, budget, human behavior, and context, while remaining an expression of art. Architecture is not merely about form; it is about life, performance, and meaning.
From this integration emerges the Wellhaus concept — a synthesis of WELL, inspired by the WELL Building Standard, and Haus, referencing the integral spirit of the Bauhaus. This model combines bioclimatic principles, energy efficiency, and human well-being to create spaces that adapt, function, and evolve alongside those who inhabit them
